Running in the early 50's, Stand By For Crime centered around Chuck Morgan, a news anchor for KOP Radio in LA, played by Glen Langen, and his girl friday Carol, played by his real life wife Adele Jurgens. Often getting tips from his police pal Lt. Bill Miggs, the pair would help crack crimes in the LA area. Although Chuck referred to Carol as Glamourpuss, the term was not seen as patronizing at the time, and the relationship between the two played a major part of the series.
